I have been involved in Karate since March 1983. I gained the rank of Shodan in February 1986.
After a further two years of continuous training I attempted and passed my Nidan in November of 1988. Over the next three years, more experience of Karate in coaching, competing and officiating were gained. In December 1991, I obtained the rank of Sandan after a comprehensive and very demanding grading.
After gaining my Shodan and after an intensive coaching course, I was awarded an AMA. Coaching Licence and Croyland Karate Club Coaches Licence. I taught various levels of students from beginners to 3rd Kyu, at a local club in Chingford. This was regular practice until 1988 when I went into partnership with another karateka and opened a separate club in Chingford.
I attended numerous Association and E.K.B. referee course, exams and seminars from 1987 to present.
I have taught at various other clubs within our parent association (T.S.S.K.). I have also planned and executed various children and adult classes for Croyland Karate Club. I am at present Senior Club Coach for Chingford Karate Club and T.S.S.K. I regularly take part in coaching various grades up top 6th Dan in Kihon, Kata and Kumite.
